LEX CORWIN
FOUNDER  & CEO OF STONE ROAD

Founded in 2016 at the age of 23 by founder and CEO, Lex Corwin, Stone Road is a queer-led, family-run brand that is committed to harvesting and creating accessible, affordable cannabis products without sacrificing style. Through Stone Road, Lex is reimagining what affordable cannabis can look like with design-forward, sustainable packaging and avant-garde campaign imageryRaised in New York City, Lex moved west for college and began working as the co-manager of a boutique, family-owned medical cannabis cooperative in Portland, OR. He cut his teeth in the legal cannabis space with roles in cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution while working towards his degree.

Lex has come a long way since those early days in Portland and has propelled Stone Road to becoming one of the fastest growing cannabis companies in both the California and Oklahoma markets, and just launched in Massachusetts this week.  When he’s not running the brand from Stone Road’s Venice office, Lex is tending to Stone Road’s 57 acre, off-grid, biodynamic family farm in Nevada City, CA.

 

NIDHI LUCKY HANDA
FOUNDER & CEO OF LEUNE

As a WOC entrepreneur and cannabis consumer, Nidhi found herself dissatisfied with the options available to her and sought to create a brand that would appeal to a wider demographic, not just men and “super stoners.” Now hailed as a “Woman Breaking the Glass Ceiling in Weed” by Forbes and a “Woman of Weed” by High Times Magazine, Nidhi has dedicated her career to building a cannabis company that will raise industry standards for workplace culture, representation and social equity.

MIMI LAM & DRUMMOND MUNRO
CO-FOUNDERS OF SUPERETTE

Since launching in 2019 Superette has made quick waves in the industry opening six shops and has newly acquired Canadian-based Cannoe, which will enable Superette’s continued expansion. Superette has won multiple awards for their brand identity and store design, and turning traditional cannabis retail on its head. Superette is French for mini supermarket and all of its shops pay homage to similarly familiar and nostalgic retail environments from diners, delis and bodegas, to flower shops, candy stores and subway newsstands and each location ingeniously adapts each new Superette location for the neighborhood it opens in, drawing influence from familiar brick and mortar environments to create hyperlocal, immersive retail experiences.

 
 
ASHLAN & PHILIPPE COUSTEAU
CO-FOUNDERS OF SEAWEED NATURALS
Globally-renowned environmentalists and social entrepreneurs Ashlan Cousteau and Philippe Cousteau (grandson of Jacques Cousteau) are the founders of SeaWeed Naturals, the first premium wellness brand that fuses the rejuvenating benefits of the ocean with the healing properties of the cannabis plant. Founded as an impact brand, SeaWeed Naturals was inspired by a vision of a reciprocal yet beneficial relationship with our oceans and above all else strives to support the emerging blue economy with a goal to restore the ocean, provide habitats for ocean life, and give sustainable jobs to coastal communities. CHRISTINE AND NICOLE SKIBOLA
CO-FOUNDERS OF COSMIC VIEW
Mother/ daughter team Nicole and Christine Skibola, PhD are the co-founders of Cosmic View, a cannabis brand that is the perfect marriage of traditional herbalism and science. After surviving a rare endometrial cancer at a young age, Nicole had been interested in cannabis products, particularly CBD extractions for her ongoing physical health, notably for its calming and anti-inflammatory properties. Her mother and co-founder Christine, formulated Cosmic View using her vast scientific background aimed at helping individuals with specific health conditions. Each formulation is backed by scientific research on the biological actions of all of our ingredients and their potential synergistic effects. Integrating various herbs and plant-based oils, all Cosmic View products are rooted in traditional herbalism and plant medicine.
